Mr. Earnest Danley also known as Peter was born June 17, 1951, to the late Roosevelt and Mattie Danley, Sr. The death hand of the almighty God touched Earnest life and claimed it in his home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Earnest was born in Aiken County and attended A.L. Corbett High School. Earnest confessed the Lord and Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Union Hill Baptist Church at an early age. Earnest was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp from July 1969 to August 1975 with an Honorable Discharge. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ device and Purple Heart Medal. Later in life Earnest worked at AT&T Nassau Metals as a Material Handler.
Earnest was known as a kindhearted, comedic, and talkative person that enjoyed living his life as a husband, father, and grandfather. On August 9, 1980, Earnest married the love of his life and the person he introduced to people as “The Boss” Sadie Danley.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Roosevelt & Mattie Danley, Sr., three brothers, Roosevelt Danley Jr., Robert Danley, and Willie Earl Danley.
Left to cherish memories is his devoted wife Sadie Danley, one daughter Kenya (Terence) Jackson (Salley). Two grandchildren Shania and Kaylin Jackson (Salley). One brother Freddie Lee (Joyce) Danley (Wagener). Three sisters Blondell Howard, Geraldine (Harry) Dicks and Diane Danley all of Philadelphia, PA. One brother-in-law Raymond Chandler, Jr. (Salley). Five sisters-in-law, Mary Kinard, Gloria Jean Chandler, Elaine (Alvin) Gleaton, Victoria (Wade) Friday, and Alfreda Danley all of Salley and Shirley (Chris) Staley (Springfield). Honorary grandson-in-law Quandarius McGee. Honorary friend Samuel Seawright. A host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
